Kate Middleton Put a Regal Spin on a Jacket, Skinny Jeans, and Boots for Her and Prince William's Cumbria Visit
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have arrived in Cumbria for their first day trip of the month. Kate Middleton stepped out, wearing a olive jacket, a dainty ruffled white blouse, black skinny jeans, and chunky black boots.
She and William, Kensington Palace announced on Twitter before their arrival, are traveling to the county to "to celebrate the resilience and spirit of rural and farming communities in the region. The Duke and Duchess will visit Keswick to celebrate the contributions of individuals and local organizations and meet members of the public in the Market Square, before visiting a traditional fell sheep farm to meet members of the Cumbrian farming community."
This is Kate's first event since Trooping the Colour Saturday. The Duchess of Cambridge wore a yellow Alexander McQueen dress then with a matching Philip Treacy hat. Alexander McQueen is a favorite designer for Kate to wear at Trooping the Colour and major family events, in part because it is her way to pay homage to the house behind her wedding dress.
Kate will be out again tomorrow to "attend the first annual gala dinner in recognition of Addiction Awareness Week, hosted by Action on Addiction and chef Skye Gyngell, and deliver a speech to celebrate the work of the charity," Kensington Palace wrote last week on Twitter. The Duchess of Cambridge is a patron of the charity.
William, meanwhile, made an appearance yesterday at Child Bereavement UK's 25th Birthday gala dinner. He gave a speech there where he applauded the organization's work. "You have also played a pivotal role in changing attitudes-and helping people to talk more freely about the way they are feeling and the daily challenges they face," he said. "By providing professionals and people across the UK with the tools and guidance they need to support friends, family and colleagues who are bereaved, you are helping to create a support network aimed at providing comfort to those in the most painful situations. And you shine a beacon of light in the darkness as families learn to live with their loss, and find hope-and laughter-again."
