Kaia Gerber is spitting image of Cindy Crawford in bondage-inspired Versace outfit
Kaia Gerber had us doing a double take as she channeled mother Cindy Crawford in Versace at her 18th birthday party this weekend.
Gerber, who turned 18 on 3 September, celebrated her milestone birthday at the Paradise Club in Times Square last Friday, 6 September.
The model wore a bondage-inspired Versace minidress which paid homage to a look her mother had sported at the 1992 MTV Music Awards – and the likeness was uncanny.

Gerber’s was a racier version of her mother’s look, and featured a side-split leather miniskirt, whereas the original incarnation of the look had a full-length skirt with a more modest split. Driving home the family resemblance, she wore her hair in a bouffant style similar to the one her mother wore.
She was joined by the likes of Kendall Jenner, Winnie Harlow, Leonardo DiCaprio and Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon at the event.

Gerber later posted a pair of images to her instagram account thanking guests for attending the lavish do. In the second, she poses with performance artist Amanda Lepore.
Her milestone birthday coincides with an exciting career first for Gerber, who is the cover star for the October 2019 issue of British Vogue, it was announced earlier this month.

It is her second solo cover for a Vogue publication – she featured on the front of Vogue Paris last year, at the age of 16.
Crawford, widely understood as one of the world’s first supermodels, landed her first Vogue cover at the age of 20.
Gerber also starred on the cover of Vogue Paris with her mother in the publication’s April 2016 issue. The mother-daughter pair were shot by Mario Testino.
Meanwhile, the 18-year-old’s modelling career has gone from strength to strength. She opened yesterday’s Longchamp show at New York Fashion Week.
Gerber isn’t the first celebrity offspring to pay homage to her mother’s iconic wardrobe.
Over the summer, Liz Hurley’s lookalike son, Damian Hurley, riffed on his mother’s famous Versace safety pin dress in a sleek black suit decorated with a series of gold pins.
