Jada Pinkett Smith’s marital confession: ‘I've got to be honest, I don’t know Will at all’
Jada Pinkett Smith has admitted coronavirus lockdown has made her realise she hardly knows husband Will Smith “at all”.
They may have been married for 23 years, but it seems the Hollywood couple are only just getting to know each other.
Pinkett Smith confessed that being forced to spend all her time with Will during the current coronavirus lockdown has made her realise that, actually, there’s still a lot she doesn’t know about her other half.
The actress made the candid confession in a preview clip for her Facebook Watch show, Red Table Talk in which she discussed the impact being in quarantine can have on relationships in an episode titled ‘How Your Relationship Can Survive Quarantine’.

The Girls Trip star, who tied the knot with Smith back in 1997, was joined by daughter Willow, 19, and her mother, Adrienne Banfield Norris, for the latest episode of their web series.
“It’s challenging,” she admitted. “You’re forced to look at things differently.”
She went on to add that lockdown has meant she’s got to know her husband in a whole new way: “I’ve got to be honest, I think one of the things that I’ve realised is that I don’t know Will at all.
“I feel like there’s a layer that you get to, life gets busy and you create these stories in your head and then you hold on to these stories and that is your idea of your partner; that’s not who your partner is.”

Pinkett Smith, 48, met Smith, 51, on the set of Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air and they married in 1997. As well as Willow, they have a son, Jaden.
She said that, in order to better understand her husband, she is now “going through the process of having to dissolve all of those stories and all the ideas of Will”.
“This is intimacy,” the actress told Pastor John Gray and his wife Aventer.
“Just being able to get to who our loved ones are beyond that which we have perceived.”
The couple are working to be “friends”, Girls Trip star Pinkett Smith said.
“You get into all these ideas of what intimate relationships are supposed to look like, what marriages are supposed to be.
“Will and I are in the process of him taking the time to learn to love himself, me taking the time to learn to love myself, and us building a friendship along the way.”

It isn’t the first time Pinkett Smith has opened up about the realities of marriage. Last year, in another episode of her Red Table Talk, Facebook Watch show discussed how being together for more than two decades had shifted her view of marriage.
She went on to explain how things had moved from fantasy to reality and how her expectations may have been unrealistic.
“Let me tell you, nobody talks about the sacrifice, the deteriorating and dissolving of fantasies,” she said.
“You right now, have in your mind, your perfect woman. And when you find that woman, she will be a goddess to you. We fall in love with the goddess, or the god, within that person, and then when we actually meet the human being, then we gotta learn how to love that one.
“The reason why it is so important to me to be able to stick it out, to really get to the true meaning of love, in my opinion, it is unconditional. It has to be, because we are all too flawed. No matter how much work we do! It never ends.”
