Holly Willoughby and Tess Daly were almost identical at the BAFTA TV Awards

One of the biggest fashion faux pas for a celebrity is to wear the same dress as someone else on the red carpet.

Yet Holly Willoughby and Tess Daly did that exact thing at Sunday’s BAFTA TV Awards.

The well-known presenters both slipped into strapless Roland Mouret dresses, causing a social media meltdown.

Holly’s £2695 mint green gown was more dramatic in its floor length while Tess’s £1895 pale pink number fell just below the knee.

Although the two designs did have their differences, both featured the same cross-over bustier detail. In fact, Tess’s shorter length comes in the exact same shade as Holly’s gown.

The pair didn’t seem fazed by their near-miss, posing up a storm on the red carpet. However, Twitter wouldn’t let it lie with plenty of people wondering how such a thing could happen.

Better coordination next year, guys.
