Holly Willoughby criticised for taking children out of school to go to Australia
Holly Willoughby has been mum shamed for taking her children out of school.
The British TV presenter, who is currently co-hosting ‘I’m a Celebrity’ alongside Declan Donnelly, shared behind-the-scenes photos on social media this weekend of her children visiting her on set in Australia.
“Wish every ad break would start like this…” the 37-year-old captioned one of the images of her three children running towards her.

Another image showed the children, Harry (nine), Belle, (seven(, and Chester, (four), looking out at the trees of the jungle.

But the images have caused controversy with some taking to the comments section to call the presenter out for taking her children out of school.
“How come she’s allowed to take the children out of school in term time and someone else would be comdemed [sic] and get into trouble she’s no different to anyone else,” one user wrote.
“Wondering if you have to pay £60 per child for taking them out of school at term time,” another asked.
“Your kids should be at school not there you should be paying for them to stay at your hotel,” another user commented.
But Holly’s fans were quick to come to her defence pointing out that the family’s childcare and schooling arrangements were no one else’s business but theirs.
“I read she had to have a tutor go with her and her kids would need to do school work whilst out there,” one user wrote. “At the end of the day she’s a working mum and this is her job, if she’d have left her kids behind and kept them in school she would have been called a bad mum.”
“Good on Holly for showing her kids that being a mum doesn’t mean you can’t all love life to the full,” another agreed. “Those kids are having the time of their lives.”
“Scary how many people think they would be learning more in school,” another wrote. “This is an experience of a lifetime for them all, learning about the world we live in. Education isn’t just sitting behind a desk being told when to speak and what to think you know.”

It isn’t the first time Holly’s parenting decisions have been called into question by the public.
When news broke that she will present ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ fans took to social media to question her latest career move and what it would mean for her children.
“What??!! Ffs!! Stay at home and actually spend time with your kids,” one user wrote on Twitter.
And the TV presenter also drew criticism for deciding to step down from her debut lifestyle brand just weeks before the launch date in order to spend more time with her family.
The television presenter took to Instagram to break the news to fans that she will no longer be fronting Truly with a candid post.
The mother-of-three wrote, “After much consideration, I have made the decision to step away from Truly. To launch a brand needs total dedication and at the moment, with so many other commitments, this is not something I feel I can do without it starting to affect my family time at home.”
It seems Holly just can’t win.
