Hilarious photographs prove that wearing ripped jeans in a heatwave is a bad idea
After record-breaking May Bank Holiday temperatures, we’re all readily anticipating blue skies this royal wedding weekend.
With pubs across the nation set to stay open until the early hours and over 8,000 street parties in preparation, Brits are sure to take full advantage of the sun.
But you may want to think twice before heading to your local rooftop screening wearing your go-to ripped jeans.
Social media users have taken to Twitter to warn others about the embarrassing – albeit hilarious – ramifications of donning the trend during a heatwave.
Thanks to the surprising influx of ripped bum-bearing jeans, lace-up shorts and thong denim numbers (yes, seriously), people are facing the side-effects of trialling this year’s most divisive Insta-trends. And the results are something to behold.
Warning: the follow images may make you wince.

So whether you’re heading to Windsor to shower the soon-to-be newlyweds in confetti or are planning a regal BBQ with friends, make sure to leave your ripped jeans at home.
Or if you really insist on wearing a pair, make sure to slather on some suncream.
