You have to love Balenciaga for its ability to get fashion followers far and wide scratching their heads.
The French fashion house is known for its subversive designs that often provoke the question “is this really fashion?” – let’s draw our minds back to some of its previous offerings, not limited to alphabet magnet earrings, shoe-trouser hybrids, and trainers that look like they’ve already been worn.
But the boundary-pushing brand has truly outdone itself with the latest drop: the T-Shirt Shirt.
The Fall 2018 piece is designed exactly as the name suggests, involving a blue T-shirt with a check shirt simply attached to the front.
We told warned you it was odd.
The brand stipulate that there are two wearing options for the strange garment: you can wear the short sleeves shirt with front drape effect, or otherwise, the long sleeves shirt with back drape effect.
Nifty.
The tee/or shirt/or whatever it is, will set fans back a massive £935, which provoked one hilarious Twitter user to create his own budget-friendly DIY version…

As for the rest of the population, the general consensus is that Balenciaga’s T-Shirt Shirt is just straight-up weird.
