Heinz launches £10 coronavirus food box for people struggling to get hold of food
Households who are unable to get hold of essentials during the coronavirus outbreak can now make an order directly with Heinz to get a £10 food box.
The box contains essential tinned food including beans, soups and spaghetti hoops designed to get us through the lockdown.
The aim is to assist people who are struggling to get a coveted delivery slot for their shopping due to the demand as a result of COVID-19.
The 16-pack food box will also be available with free delivery for all key workers.

The box contains eight tins of beans, four tins of spaghetti hoops and four tins of tomato soup, which can be used to make essential meals if you’re unable to leave the house.
Many of the supermarkets are adding priority delivery slots for the UK’s most vulnerable people, so if you are unable to get a slot now, this may change in the near future.
The Heinz offering will likely change in the coming weeks, too. The brand plans to add more of its popular products into the boxes, including tomato ketchup.

A dedicated Heinz To Home website has been created and it says it will deliver boxes within three days of ordering.
It doesn’t have to be ordered directly to your door, either. If you know a vulnerable person, or somebody struggling to get a delivery slot, you can easily send it to them as well.
Not only will key workers get free delivery, Heinz have also partnered with Blue Light Card to give NHS, emergency services, armed forces and social care workers priority delivery.
If you’ve got a Blue Light Card, you’ll get a unique code that will allow you to checkout and benefit from the discounts easily.

If you’re not a key worker, delivery of the box will cost you £3.50.
“We are very proud to announce the launch of our new online shop – Heinz to Home – which will deliver Heinz varieties directly to the doorsteps of people across the UK from today.
“The shop is a first for us, and it comes in response to stories we’ve all heard in the last few weeks. Stories about people struggling to access food and basic necessities, where people are understandably upset about how they are going to eat and stay healthy during this pandemic, and about people who need food but can’t access it in any of the usual ways.
“While we continue to work day and night to get our most loved Heinz varieties on shelf, we hope this new initiative will help those who cannot otherwise access our products.
“As part of this initiative we also want to thank all key workers – these are the people who are ensuring we are still able to access essential items, receive the medical services we need and keep our streets safe.” Jojo de Noronha, president of Kraft Heinz Northern Europe, explained.
The brand’s move into providing essential boxes comes after Marks & Spencer and Morrisons launched similar versions last week.
