Harry and William’s relationship is improving, following ‘patchy’ period
When Kensington Palace last year announced that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would be moving to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, reports began to emerge of a fall-out between Prince William and Prince Harry.
There was said to be tensions between the brothers, with some commentators suggesting that William had expressed concerns over Harry’s relationship with Meghan and whether it was moving too quickly.
Harry was reportedly riled by his older brother’s advice and interpreted that as William not being supportive of his marriage to Meghan.
“I think that it would be a lie to say that things weren’t patchy with William and Harry at one point, but to call it a feud, to call it a fall-out, is far too extreme,” royal commentator Omid Scobie tells Yahoo UK’s ‘The Royal Box.’
Just before the Sussexes moved to Windsor, they also formed their own separate household at Buckingham Palace, splitting from their joint office with the Cambridges at Kensington Palace.
This creation of separate courts is down to the couples’ increasingly different responsibilities, particularly as the families grow.
William, who is second in line to the throne, will one day be King, with Kate as his Queen Consort. Harry and Meghan have slightly less pressure on them and can carve out their own paths with their charitable work.
Omid adds: “I think the best thing that could have happened for them was to now be in their separate households, working separately, being able to come together for special family moments and social occasions.”

Soon after Meghan and Harry welcomed their first child Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor on May 6, Kate and William shared their delight and their advice for the new parents.
William joked: “I'm very pleased and glad to welcome my own brother into the sleep deprivation society that is parenting.”
When asked if he had any pearls of wisdom for his younger brother as a father of three, William laughed and said, "Plenty of advice, plenty of advice, but no I wish him all the best and I hope the next few days they can settle down and enjoy having a newborn in their family and the joys that come with that."
Kate added: "It's such a special time, obviously with Louis and Charlotte just having had their birthdays.”
“It's such a great time of year to have a baby, spring is in the air.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also shared unseen photos from their wedding on their first year anniversary earlier this month.
It included an image of Harry and his Best Man, William looking up to the camera as they walk down a staircase as they made their way to St George’s Chapel in Windsor for the ceremony.
