Brits 2020: Harry Styles redefines menswear with '70s-inspired suit
Harry Styles arrived on the red carpet for the 40th annual Brit Awards at London’s O2 arena in exquisite style.
The singer is up for male solo artist of the year and his album Fine Line is nominated for album of the year.
We’re pleased to confirm that his fashion choice for the event is just as exciting as his music. As if anybody was in doubt.
Styles arrived at the awards wearing a brown suit with exposed stitching on the lapels, giving us major ‘70s vibes.
Not to be caught out by the freezing London weather, he wore a wool cardigan under his suit complete with an embroidered collar and pearl necklace.
His outfit was put together by celebrity stylist Harry Lambert, and the attention to detail is – as ever – on point.
Styles even had lilac nail polish on his hands to match the speckled hues of his jumper.
The black ribbon he wore on his lapel is a worldwide symbol of remembrance or mourning. Fans on Twitter believed it was a subtle tribute to Caroline Flack.
Styles wasn’t the only one giving us chocolate bar vibes tonight. Lizzo turned up wearing an actual Hershey’s chocolate bar outfit but it was Styles that is redefining menswear at such a pivotal point for British fashion.

He arrived at a similar time as former One Direction bandmate Niall Horan, who opted for a smart electric blue velvet suit for the event.
Lucky fans were able to have a quick chat with the pair as they made their way down the red carpet.

Styles stopped to interact with the waiting throngs of people in a video captured by the Brit Awards.
He took time to pose for photos and shake hands before making his way inside for what is to be a busy night for the Fine Line singer.
At the beginning of the show the host, Jack Whitehall, alluded to Styles’ trailblazing fashion statements with a sketch that involved the man himself.
The sketch saw Whitehall leave his dressing room wearing a sequin jumpsuit, only to come face to face with Styles, wearing the same thing.
