Harry Potter-themed Starbucks drinks exist and this is how to ask for them
You might have never received your letter to Hogwarts, but there’s a way you can still have a little bit of Harry Potter‘s world in your life – and it starts at Starbucks.
And it might not be in the form of Butterbeer, but we’d hedge bets on it tasting pretty similar.
Enter: Harry Potter themed Starbucks drinks.
Both the Butterbeer latte and the Butterbeer frappe are available year round – as long as you know exactly what to ask for, reports the Independent.
There’s no spell, no speaking of he-who-shall-not-be-named and no secret code, either. It’s just a matter of mixing the right ingredients together.
Butterbeer latte
For a Butterbeer latte that J K Rowling would be proud of, order a whole milk steamer with two shots of espresso, two shots of caramel syrup, three shots of toffee nut syrup and three shots of cinnamon dolce syrup.
Add whipped cream and caramel crumbs on top to complete the beverage.

Butterbeer frappe
The frappe equivalent of Harry’s favourite drink can be ordered as follows: get a Creme Frappuccino blended with three pumps of caramel syrup and three pumps of toffee nut syrup (if you’ve gone for a grande size).
If you want to make the drink a bit spicier, add a pump of cinnamon dolce syrup and a sprinkle of cinnamon on top.

Be warned though, because as great as these drinks are, there’s no magic spell for cutting the sugar out of them. The grande latte will set you back 58g of sugar (the equivalent of 14.5 teaspoons and almost double the UK government’s recommendation that British adults consume) at 402 calories.
A grande frappe, although delicious, comes in at 66g of sugar (the same as six glazed donuts – and not including the cinnamon on top) and 430 calories.
But we’ve almost given up on getting the letter through the post, so we think we all deserve a magical treat every so often.
