Harry and Meghan set to travel to Malawi and Angola during Africa autumn tour
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are due to travel to Malawi, Angola and South Africa later this year, according to reports.
Harry and Meghan’s tour of Africa in autumn will be their first major overseas visit since becoming parents to son Archie Harrison Mountbattern-Windsor.
The couple plan to visit Malawi to expand the reach of Harry’s charity Sentebale into that country.
The royal, 34, attended a concert on Tuesday in aid of the organisation, which supports children and young people affected by HIV and AIDS in Lesotho, Botswana and Malawi.
The duke is also said to want to continue his mother Princess Diana’s work with the HALO (Hazardous Areas Life-Support Organisation) Trust on landmines in Angola, ITV reports.
Diana famously walked through an active minefield in Angola in January 1997, just months before her tragic death.

In 2013, Harry visited the Cuando Cubango region in southeast Angola with the HALO Trust, where he saw first-hand the impact of landmines on communities and the human suffering they cause.
Given the security and travel difficulties, it has not been decided whether Archie will join them on their trip. The matter will be discussed by the couple and palace aides before a final decision is made.
On 17 June, the duke will attend a Chatham House Africa Programme event on ‘Mine Clearance, Conservation, and Economic Development in Angola.’

Botswana, may also be on the itinerary and it’s a country that Harry has a close affinity with. It’s where he whisked Meghan off to for her birthday in August 2017 and the centre stone in her engagement ring was sourced from the country.
Harry and Meghan also recently shared a photo of their 2017 visit to Bostwana on their Instagram account, when they assisted Dr. Mike Chase of Elephants Without Borders in equipping a bull elephant with a satellite collar.
Recent reports also suggested the couple could spend up to six months at a time living in Africa over the next two to three years, as part of a sabbatical.

Meghan made her first public appearance since giving birth to Archie, at Trooping the Colour to mark the Queen’s official birthday last weekend.
The duchess will reportedly return to royal duties in the autumn. Meanwhile, Harry has been continuing to attend engagements on a weekly basis.
After attending the concert in aid of Sentebale on Tuesday, the following day Harry launched a new initiative with boxers Anthony Joshua and Nicola Adams which aims to help disadvantaged young people through sport.
