Hangover-free cocktails are coming

We’ve all been there. We’re happily sipping a few after-work drinks at the pub and before you know it, we’re queueing to get into the nearest club.

And it’s all good fun (and a surprisingly great way to network), until you’re nursing your head in back-to-back meetings the following day.

But what if we told you that this could be a thing of the past?

Yes, a London-based drug scientist is currently in the process of launching a line of hangover-free cocktails.

Professor David Nutt has spent the last decade perfecting a formula known as ‘alcosynth’, which mimics the effects of alcohol on the brain without damaging the liver.

The 66-year-old is currently looking for £7 million funds to complete the final tests, which will give the drug scientist and his team permission to sell the product.

But he’s pretty confident that it’ll be a success, as he aims to launch hangover-free drinks in over one hundred cocktail bars over the next decade.

And one major advantage to his invention is that synthetic alcohol can be adapted to suit each individual customer. Therefore, there is less risk of dangerous intoxication.
