Welsh TV presenter Gethin Jones has enjoyed his "wife" visiting him on the set of BBC Morning Live, the BBC morning show he co-hosts. Posting to Instagram Gethin shared pictures of him showing his "wife" around the set.

He said: "The @clogaugold wife came to visit today!" and "Giving her the tour!" Gethin is the face of Welsh jewellery brand Clogau, alongside model Nikki Chislett who Gethin jokingly refers to as his "wife".

It is believed that Gethin met Nikki while both modelled for Clogau, which included wearing wedding rings and posing as a husband and wife. In September 2020 Gethin took to Instagram to share a picture of a gold wedding band alongside the caption: "It's been a big day" before revealing to fans it was all part of a photoshoot and not a real wedding, which Nikki also took part in and he also joked she was his wife.

Gethin has since continued with the joke and often calls Nikki his "wife". Recently Gethin's Morning Live co-star Helen Skeleton took an unexpected swipe at him as she poked fun at his dress sense. For the latest TV & Showbiz news, sign up to our newsletter.

Providing viewers with a run down on what was on offer, Helen mentioned that they would be talking to gardener Mark Lane on how to keep your plants alive in the winter with clothes. Appearing in the studio, Mark held up a jumper and said: "Pull out your old pullovers, jumpers and jackets because we'll be using those to keep your greens alive."

As the camera panned back to Gethin and Helen, Gethin jokingly mentioned the jumper Mark was holding in his hand and said: "Why do they always go into my room to get..." Helen jumped in at the chance to take a swipe at her colleague's appearance and said: "Because they're old and tatty and need a new lease of life."
