Fendi mocked online for £750 shawl that resembles a vagina
There’s no denying that Fendi is the label of the moment with A-listers and influencers alike flocking to purchase (and Instagram) the Italian fashion house’s latest slogan-emblazoned must-haves.
But it seems the mega brand’s most recent drop isn’t exactly gram-worthy, as Twitter users flocked to the social media platform to compare a newly-released Fendi shrug to erm, a vagina.
The not-so-covetable AW18 garment is described on Farfetch as a ‘Touch of Fur shawl’ and the Internet wasted no time in pointing out the undeniable similarities between the accessory and female labia.
One Twitter user was lost for words and simply screenshot the garment alongside the relatable caption: “Omfg…it’s rather, ermmmm..”

While another noted that if you flip the image upside down, the shawl is then even more reminiscent of a vagina.

Unsurprisingly, it wasn’t long until fellow social media users joined in to mock Fendi for its latest tone-deaf design.
One joked, “Oh nooo, no, no! That’s absolutely hideous! ‘Relive the moment of your natural birth, with our exclusive pricey shawl’. It’s missing some fine detail, but you get the idea.”

Wait, so when you wear this it’s like re enacting your own birth, but with glasses and a full head of hair? COUNT ME IN or out or whatever

While simply another tweeted: “That’s my Halloween costume sorted.”
Yet despite the widespread online criticism, the £750 shawl has already sold out online.
For those of you who secretly hoped to add one to your basket, the winter-ready accessory is also available in two other colour ways or can be purchased sans fur for a cool £320.
