The celebrity diets to avoid following in 2018
The festive period leaves the wide majority of us feeling like we need to start the new year with a health kick. But jumping on board with one fad diet after another isn’t the solution.
For this exact reason, the British Dietetic Association (BDA) has put together a list of weight loss plans to avoid in 2018. With regimes recommended by the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow and Kim Kardashian, many unsurprisingly have a celebrity link.
If you’re serious about losing weight, the BDA recommends setting yourself realistic goals (no more than 5-10%), not eating while watching TV to avoid overeating and filling half of your plate with vegetables and the other half with a mixture of protein and starchy carbs like potatoes or rice.
After all, as the organisation’s Sian Porter says: “If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.”
