Ever wondered how much oil is actually in foundation?
What would we all do without foundation? It’s a little bottle of brilliance, that manages to cover up a multitude of bags, blotchiness and breakouts.
However, as we slather the shiny mixture onto our faces, have you ever wondered how much oil goes into giving us that A+ coverage and shiny glow? Well, it’s quite a lot.
Beauty blogger April Belle, recently decided to see just how much oil was in different types of foundation. She simply placed the products onto brown paper bags and left them for a few hours to see how much would be absorbed.
The results? Pretty gross, as you can see below.
Leaving no stone unturned, she tested out every single popular foundation from MAC to Estee Lauder, with L’Oreal, Rimmel and Clinique seemingly extracting the most oil.
However, the oil in foundation is by no means a bad thing.
“Everyone’s skin is different and needs different things – some need a more oily consistently and others need less oil,” says Belle.
That being said, if you already have an oily complexion, you may want to stay away from a few of these in the future.
