Emilia Clarke Just Copied Gwyneth Paltrow’s Most Iconic Haircut
She's had waist length white blonde Westeros-conquering braids, chocolate brown shoulder length locks, a 'bronde' bob, and almost every hair look in between. And now, Emilia Clarke has hit us with her most badass hairstyle yet.
Taking to Instagram, the Game Of Thrones actress revealed a brand new choppy ash blonde crop. Cut by celeb hair stylist Jenny Cho, Clarke divulged her retro hair inspo behind the edgy new look and it's not what you'd expect.

The 31-year-old captioned the pic of her new super short do':

Yup, Clarke's hair icon of choice was none other than Gwyneth Paltrow circa Sliding Doors, 1998. In the now legendary rom com, Paltrow's character cuts her off in a spur of the moment decision to shed her cheating ex-boyfriend and embrace a new shinier version of herself. Could there be more behind Emilia's new look than she's letting on?
Unsurprisingly, the reason for the chop was a little more practical than that. The woman behind Clarke's new look, Jenny Cho, posted a timelapse video of the dramatic hair transformation and explained why the new super short 'do was more than necessary:
'Emilia has been a sultry brunette to the recent platinum goddess and everything in between. She’s one of the few lucky ones who has a huge color range. I know, I know, some of you guys are sad to see the Platinum go. It’s stunning but not always kind on the hair.'

Cho finished the caption with #deadhairbegone #starting over, confirming once and for all that even Khaleesi's hair can't keep up with repeat bleaching.
With Clarke's new androgynous cut occurring just a week after she revealed a new dragon tattoo, we're looking forward to her next act of post-GoT rebellion.
