The DudeRobe is here to preserve men's post-shower masculinity
While women get to saunter around in a dressing gown after taking a long bath, men are left feeling emasculated.
Well, that’s what one man thinks.
A Kickstarter campaign is aiming to create the DudeRobe: a collection of towelled clothes for men.
Featuring hoodies, robes (that look suspiciously similar to dressing gowns), shorts and trousers in shades of grey and blue, men will now be able to dry off without the fear of feeling feminine.
According to the creator of DudeRobe, the problem is that “bathrobes for men kind of suck.”
“All we want is something that’s absorbent that also looks cool. Regular robes definitely don’t look cool unless you’re Hugh Hefner, Tyler Durden or the Dude from Big Lebowski.”
It looks like the DudeRobe is going from dream to reality after exceeding its $25,000 (£19,332) goal, raising a huge $67,000 (£51,809) and counting.
If you’re feeling like this could be the perfect gift or perhaps want to snap up a set for yourself, the entire collection will cost you $320 (around £250).
It’s unclear whether the DudeRobe will be available to consumers in the UK but here’s hoping, right guys.
