Duchess of Cambridge borrows Queen's jewellery to complete spectacular evening look
The Duchess of Cambridge was a vision in green last night as she attended a glittering state dinner as part of the fifth day of the royal tour of the Caribbean with Prince William.
The royal stepped out in a custom, off-the-shoulder Jenny Packham gown in a striking, emerald green, which she accessorised with matching emerald-and-diamond earrings and a bracelet, both loaned by the Queen for the exclusive event.
For such a special occasion the duchess opted for jewellery fitting for the glamorous event and which perfectly complimented her bold, green-coloured dress.
The glittering, chandelier-style earrings and matching bracelet are both believed to be from the Emerald Tassel Parure collection, though there is also a necklace that the Queen has previously worn.
The duchess also wore her Royal Family Order and the GCVO Star, which Her Majesty gifted to her in April 2019 for her eighth wedding anniversary.
The jewellery the royal wore at last night's dinner has previously been worn by the Queen back in May 2011 at an event with the then US President, Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.

The duchess looked incredible in the jewell-hued dress, which featured sequin detailing, a bardot neckline and a floor-skimming tulle trim.
The dress is believed to be a bespoke version of the designer's 'Wonder Glitter Tulle Gown'.

After two years of being grounded in the UK due to COVID-19 restrictions, the couple have now been able to embark on their first royal tour: a week-long Caribbean Royal Tour to mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
The dinner formed part of the fifth day of the tour and was thrown in their honour by the Governor General at King's House, his Kingston residence.

It was the most glamorous event of their tour so far and the couple certainly dressed for the occasion, with Prince William also looking suave in a tailored dinner suit and bow tie.
The duke later delivered a speech, in which he acknowledged the unrest triggered by the royal visit.
He went on to express his "profound sorrow" over slavery, calling it "abhorrent" and adding: "It should never have happened."

The event wasn't the first time the duchess has turned to Jenny Packham for an outfit to attend a prestigious event.
Last September she dazzled in a gold embellished dress by the designer for the No Time to Die premiere.
Earlier in the day, the duchess dressed for business in a white crepe suit by Alexander McQueen, the same British fashion house that designed her wedding dress in 2010.
Continuing the vibrant theme of her “tourdrobe” the duchess paired the white tailored suit with a tangerine crepe-de-chine blouse by Ridley London.
During her first appearance of the tour the duchess paid a touching tribute to Princess Diana wearing jewellery that previously belonged to husband Prince William's late mother.
That included sapphire and diamond earrings and a pendant necklace, which are believed to be from Princess Diana's 'sapphire' collection.
The royal mother-of-three previously wore the set to meet President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska in 2020 – suggesting that their reappearance this weekend might also have been a subtle gesture of support for Ukraine.
