The Duchess of Cambridge arrived at the Queen’s annual Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace today in a festive, tartan outfit.
The 37-year-old royal arrived in a car with Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, 1 while husband Prince William, also 37, drove six year old Prince George.
The Duchess’ red ensemble was from one of her go-to designer’s, Emilia Wickstead. As there are only images of the royal in her car, it’s unclear whether she’s wearing a skirt and jacket combo or a tartan dress.
It’s likely the former as Kate wore a skirt in the same print to host a lunch for military personal at Kensington Palace last December.
A crisp white shirt was also seen layered under the tartan and finished off with a pair of pearl hoop earrings.
Tartan is a staple in the mum-of-three’s wardrobe. In 2017, the duchess wore a statement tartan coat by Miu Miu to attend the Christmas Day Church service with the Royal Family at Sandringham.
In 2013, she also opted for a more traditional navy and green check by Alexander McQueen, which was paired with a matching bottle green hat.
