Duchess of Cambridge sports brand new hairdo (and sale dress) at Wimbledon 2017
The Duchess of Cambridge was one of the first famous faces to hit Wimbledon this morning.
Sporting a brand new hairstyle, Kate arrived in a stand-out polka dot dress by Dolce & Gabbana.
The fitted black-and-white style featured three quarter length sleeves and landed just above the royal’s knee. Kate’s dress is currently on sale (but is still pretty pricey at £930).
Instead of accessorising with her usual clutch bag and court shoes, Kate opted for block-heeled black sandals and a white leather handbag by Victoria Beckham.
Her perfectly coiffed hair appeared to have been given the chop. Hairstylist and Vivascal ambassador Philippe Tholimet gave his thoughts on Kate’s new cut: “It suits Kate but a much shorter style would make her look younger and also more individual and unique.”
This is Kate’s first visit to the tennis championships as patron of the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club. The Queen awarded the Duchess the title after her 90th birthday.
The Duchess will take on the role of handing out the trophies to this year’s winners. Today, she will also meet the Wimbledon ball boys and girls as well as other staff including stewards and the medical team.
Kate is then expected to take a seat in the royal box to watch Andy Murray play.
