Diane Keaton reveals she hasn't been on a date in 35 years
Diane Keaton hasn’t dated anyone in three and a half decades – and she’s feeling great about it.
The ‘Annie Hall’ actor has been romantically involved with the likes of director Woody Allen, ‘Godfather’ actor Al Pacino, and ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ actor Warren Beatty.
But, at 73, Keaton says she has taken a 35-year-long hiatus from the formal dating ritual.

This was revealed during an interview she did with InStyle magazine. Keaton stars on the cover of the August 2019 issue.
Asked by the US publication whether she dates, she responded: “Never.”
She added: “Let’s just get that straight. That one’s important. I haven’t been on a date in, I would say, 35 years. No dates.
“I have a lot of male friends. I have a lot of friends, but no dates. No mwah-mwah.”
Keaton, who has never been married, says she has had a lot of “independence” in her life to achieve her dreams.

“I’ve had a lot of independence, and nobody’s telling me what to do. I had a mother who encouraged that and helped me achieve the things I wanted to achieve.
“I’ve followed the paths I’ve wanted to follow. I like redoing houses, I like architecture, I like visuals, I like fashion, I like all of it.”
For the InStyle subscriber cover, which was shared on the publication’s Instagram account, Keaton wears multiple hats – and the metaphor certainly rings true of her life.
Author (of both memoirs and design books), book editor, real estate developer, director, producer, photographer and singer are just some of the extra job titles the actor has added to her overflowing CV.
She is also a mother of two: daughter Dexter, 23, and son Duke, 18, whom she adopted in her 50s.
Happily single in her 70s, Keaton is in good company among the likes of Stevie Nicks, 71, who told Rolling Stone in 2017 that relationships would always come second to her career.

“I made a choice to not get married. After eight years of Klonopin [a medication she took for cocaine withdrawal symptoms], I was just gonna follow my muse, and if somebody came into my life, they would always end up being second. I wanted so badly to do what I’m doing right now, the Fleetwood Mac singer told the publication.
