Demi Lovato's tiny tattoo has a special meaning
Demi Lovato has been laying fairly low on social media recently, but the singer celebrated six months of being sober last week and appeared to get a tattoo to mark the milestone.
Demi, who suffered an overdose this past July and has been working on her recovery ever since, shared a picture of a delicate rose inking on her finger, writing 'Obsessed' on her Instagram story.
Roses are said to symbolise hope and new beginnings, so it's thought that Demi's new ink is a tribute to overcoming her struggles recently.
Despite keeping quiet on social media, the singer went on a Twitter tirade last month, blasting those who are making up rumours about her just for money, calling them "sickening." She said:
I love my fans, and hate tabloids. Don’t believe what you read. People will literally make up stuff to sell a story. Sickening.
If I feel like the world needs to know something, I will tell them MYSELF. Otherwise people stop writing about my recovery, because it’s no one’s business but mine. I am sober and grateful to be alive and taking care of ME ✌🏼
Someday I’ll tell the world what exactly happened, why it happened and what my life is like today.. but until I’m ready to share that with people please stop prying and making up shit that you know nothing about. I still need space and time to heal..
Here's hoping the 26-year-old is feeling strong and being given the time she needs.
