Demi Lovato called out an artist for drawing her with an unrealistic body

As with airbrushing, drawing somebody on paper doesn’t require you to be realistic. You can make someone thinner, fatter, taller or transform them entirely into something else.
So when a fan of Demi Lovato’s posted a drawing of her as a mermaid, Lovato complimented the drawing but noticed that there was something very wrong with the art piece.
Based on an actual photograph of Lovato promoting her song ‘Body Say’, the original had her back exposed, but front covered up.
And if my body had a say I would come again #BodySay

But the drawing by 17-year-old artist Vladimir Serbanescu drew in her front, including an incredibly slim torso and rather gravity-defying breasts.
So when Lovato came across a repost of the drawing, she said: “Is that how my boobs should look?
“It’s gorgeous but that’s not my body.”
The result was a backlash against Lovato, with Serbanescu’s fans calling her a “rude b**ch” that “should be ashamed of herself”.
But many others had her back. One commenter said: “Kudos to Demi for calling this out. The more we call out harmful things like this, the better.”
While another wrote: “I love the art….but it does not look like Demi… I think this artist should have drawn a other picture of Demi instead of this.”
