Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin are officially dating again after splitting
The real reason behind Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin's Covers wrap party hangout this week has just been revealed. E! and Us Weekly are confirming now that Martin attended the party as Johnson's date because the two are back together, according to their sources. Johnson and Martin were reported to have broken up in June.
A source told E! that 'they're planning to spend more time together later this summer.' Us Weekly, meanwhile, reported that not only did Johnson take Martin as her date to the Covers wrap party on Wednesday, but she brought him to her The Peanut Butter Falcon premiere on Thursday.
Why did Johnson and Martin take the brief break earlier this summer? Express was told by a source in June that the breakup happened because the two clashed over family plans. 'Chris made it clear he wants more kids as soon as possible, but Dakota's career has really taken off, and that's the last thing she wanted to think about right away,' its source said. 'It got to the point, last month, where a light seemed to flick on in both their heads and they realised they were pulling in completely opposite directions—so they decided to call it a day."' (Martin has two children with his ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow.)
Johnson and Martin have kept their relationship mostly to themselves and aren't likely to comment on any of the reports about them now.
The most Johnson has said about Martin, in her November 2018 interview with Tatler, was that she was keeping their romance private. 'I'm not going to talk about it,' Johnson told the magazine, per E!, when asked about their relationship. 'But I am very happy.'
