A cheese-themed hotel is coming to London
Café Rouge is opening a cheese-themed hotel in London.
We might have spent the entire Christmas break eating cheese and crackers exclusively but there’s always room for more, right?
Cheese is for life, not just for Christmas, after all.
The Cheese Suite, which claims to be the first of its kind in the whole world, is a pop-up created by restaurant chain, Café Rouge.

Yes, unfortunately it is a pop-up which means it’s only open from 29 January to 6 February.
If you wanted to pack your bags and spend the week there, that’s not possible either. Guests are only permitted to stay for one night.
It’s located in Camden, although we don’t know exactly where, so you’ll have plenty local amenities should you wish to leave your cheese-haven.
Let’s face it, you probably won’t, given that there’s a hotline to get cheese delivered straight to your door.
Yes, you did read that correctly.

The hotel is a very apt way to introduce Café Rogue’s new cheese menu, which features everything from breaded camembert to a cheese afternoon tea complete with French wine.
It’s self-catered accommodation and they’ll even leave you a Café Rogue cookbook so you can try your hand at recreating some of the recipes.
If you’re expecting your room to be - well - normal, think again.
The walls, floors and ceiling is adorned with cheese and if the bed in the mock-up picture is anything to go by, you can expect it to be cheesy.
There will be cheese-themed bedding, pillows and everything in-between, as well as cheese puns dotted around the room.

The hotel has been created in conjunction with The Prince’s Trust.
Although the stay is completely free, Café Rouge ask that you make a donation to the charity in lieu of payment for the room.
Everybody staying at the hotel will also walk away with a £50 gift voucher for two people. It can be used at a time and a place to suit the guest.
You’ll also have access to a cheese and wine mini-bar, stacked with all the amenities you’ll need (aka more cheese).

Only 9 people will have the chance to stay at the hotel and potential guests can sign up by entering their name into a ballot.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this sort of promotion - although it is the cheesiest.
