CFDA Awards Red Carpet: Beyoncé, the Olsen Trio, Olivia Wilde’s Baby Bump, and More
Every year, the Council of Fashion Designers of America — a nonprofit organization that serves as a governing body of the fashion world — gives recognition to up-and-coming talent, established designers, and icons. For 2016, the best and brightest, including Anna Wintour, Lauren Conrad, and Claire Danes, to name a few, hit the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.
With Joel McHale as host (a man whose sartorial knowledge is laughable) and performances by Jennifer Hudson, Ciara, and Michael C. Hall in his Lazarus character to commemorate David Bowie (the late singer was honored with the Board of Directors’ Tribute, which was accepted on his behalf by Tilda Swinton), the night was as entertaining as it was stylish. Olivia Wilde wore a cutout gown that showed off her pregnant belly, Karlie Kloss stunned in a Swarovski-embellished dress from Rosie Assoulin, Alicia Silverstone looked sexy in Christian Siriano, and more.
