Fans brand Madonna's son Rocco Ritchie the spitting image of dad Guy in new photo

Madonna’s son Rocco Ritchie, 22, is the exact likeness of his film director dad Guy Ritchie, as shown in a new photo.

The singer-songwriter superstar, who turned 64 on 16 August, is celebrating the occasion on holiday in Sicily in Italy with several of her children.

But before her big day, she shared a series of images with her eldest son to honour his birthday as a fellow Leo, which fell on 11 August.

The snaps feature the mother and son enjoying a candlelight al-fresco dinner, embracing one another with musicians playing in the background, and a very unique cake spotted on the table.

“From one Leo to another!! Happy birthday Rocco,” she wrote.

But what has stolen Madonna's fan's attention the most is just how much he looks like his other parent, who she split with in 2008 after almost eight years of marriage.

“Blimey absolute image of his father,” commented one, while another said, "Good grief, I thought it was Guy Ritchie".

Others echoed this with "Looks so much like his father!! Congrats to you 2!!,” and "Just as cute as his dad".

Rocco, who was recently revealed to be the painter known as Rhed, appears to have the exact same brown eyes, face shape and stubbled jawline as his father.

Madonna can be seen in a floral-patterned cream silk dress, while her son is wearing an unbuttoned blue shirt, his sleeves rolled up.

Many of her 18.4 million followers also flooded the comments to wish them both well.

"Happy Birthday to the Leo’s", 'Happy birthday queen & Rocco", 'Welcome to our beautiful Italy", they wrote, while others commented on how "handsome" Rocco is and how "beautiful" Madonna looks.

One eagle-eyed fan brought up the cake, pictured with Madonna and Rocco, and her other children, twins Stelle and Estere Ciccone, both nine, gathered around it.

"Why is no one commenting about the cake?! It’s an ultra realist briefcase! Impressive," they wrote.

Rocco can be seen cutting the life-size brown leather-looking briefcase cake, with the letters 'RO' on it.

Madonna's children also include David Banda and Mercy James, both 16, and her eldest Lourdes Leon, 25.

While Rocco has a particular alikeness to his father, this is far form the first time a celebrity has been seen as their child's doppelgänger.
