Carole Middleton is the ultimate mother-of-the-bride at daughter Pippa's wedding
The mother-of-the-bride has an important role on her daughter’s wedding day.
She must set an example for everyone and make sure that the bridal party will look their very best in the wedding album.
Today, Carole Middleton’s youngest daughter Pippa wed James Matthews in the Middleton’s Berkshire hometown.
Just as with the Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding day, Carole looked on-point in a pale pink buttoned-up coat dress by Catherine Walker.
She accessorised with rose-hued pumps, a suede clutch bag and a matching wide-brimmed hat.
For Kate’s 2011 wedding to Prince William, Carole wore a similar look, turning up in a pastel blue coat dress by the same designer.
Of course, pastel hues are perfect for springtime weddings with many guests at Pippa’s wedding opting for similar colours.
Carole made sure to coordinate with the rest of the bridal party which included her daughter, the Duchess of Cambridge, who was dressed in a peach Alexander McQueen dress.
Her grandchildren, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, were also in attendance, dressed in adorable silk outfits.
