Someone's selling T-shirts featuring Meghan Markle's handwritten banana notes
A range of T-shirts emblazoned with Meghan Markle’s, now-famous, banana messages are for sale on eBay.
Meghan personalised banana skins with messages such as ‘You are brave’, ‘You are strong’ and ‘You are loved’ while visiting a charity dedicated to helping women escape street sex work and addiction in Bristol last week.
The fruit was part of food packages set to be delivered to women the charity helped.
Spotting the potential to cash in, eBay user lewism59 has printed the royal’s handwritten notes on a range of T-shirts – which he’s selling in four different colourways for £8.99 each.
There’s no telling if the tees will sell as the mother-to-be’s gesture wasn’t a hit with everyone.
One of the sex workers given a personalised banana branded the move “offensive”.
“People out here struggle to eat and sleep and she gifts us some words on a piece of fruit,” she told The Sun.
“She has the means to help us more than that. It’s offensive, you know.”
The unisex T-shirts are currently up for grabs in a range of sizes but whether they reach sell-out status courtesy of the ‘Meghan Effect’ is debatable.
