Britney Spears reveals iconic red Oops!...I Did It Again catsuit was unbearably hot to wear as she marks 20th anniversary
It has been two decades since Britney Spear’s hit song ‘Oops!...I Did It Again’ was released - and the pop star has marked its 20th anniversary on Instagram.
In a post to her 23.7m fans, the pop star, 38, has revealed that the music video for the track - which reached number one in 15 countries during the year 2000 - had been an uncomfortable one to film.
The mum-of-two, who was 19 years old at the time, explained the iconic red cat suit she wore was unbearably hot to wear.
Captioning an image of her from the shoot, she wrote: “Oops!….how did 20 years go by so fast?!??! I can’t believe it.

“I remember that red suit was so freaking hot….but the dance was fun and it made the shoot fly by!!!!!
“And now we’re sitting in quarantine wishing we were on Mars…..of course I am just kidding!!!!!
“But seriously you have all shown so much support for this song and I thank you for it….sending love to you all!!!!!”
Her post has received more than 1.1m ‘likes’ and over 31,000 comments.

The song was part of a record-breaking album - of the same title - released in May 2000.
It received the highest debut-week sales by a female artist, a feat only overtaken 15 years later by Adele’s ‘25’.
Britney released her first song, ‘...Baby One More Time’ in September 1998.

The model, 54, turned heads when she wore a now-iconic daring black gown, held together by oversized gold safety pins, to the premiere of Four Weddings And A Funeral with the actor, then 33, in 1994.
Now Grant has revealed that his unknown 28-year-old date - who accompanied him to the launch of the film, which made him a household name, in London’s Leicester Square - that she put on the low-cut dress after being snubbed by a string of top designers.
In a BBC documentary, he explained that she had called up several fashion houses in the hope they would lend her something to wear to the glamorous event - however they refused, claiming they hadn’t heard of her.
When Liz stepped out onto the red carpet in a safety pin Versace gown, she sent photographers into a frenzy - and the frock has proceeded to influence the fashion industry ever since.
