For the first time ever, Beyoncé wasn’t the center of attention on the red carpet because her daughter, Blue Ivy, stole the spotlight at the 2016 MTV VMAs in a beautiful rose tulle gown that’s got everyone talking.
The dress was designed by Mischka Aoki and is from the brand’s spring/summer 2015 collection. Aptly named The Grand Royalle, the made-to-measure dress can cost anywhere between £7,500 and £9,800.
We’re not in Gap Kids anymore…
The dress features a floor length train with a leatherette gold metallic laser cut bodice, 3D gold metallic flower appliques hand sewn individually, and waves of tulle.
“It was Beyoncé’s amazing team who came up with such an interesting concept for the grand entrance to the red carpet,” a representative for Mischka Aoki tells Yahoo Style.
“They wanted something breathtaking, and really special for Blue, so they picked The Grand Royalle dress. It is one of the Limited Edition dresses from our collection, which was customized for Blue,” they add. “Beyoncé has been one of our most valued clients for many years, and we are thrilled to be able to work with her again.”
The four-year-old dressed the gown down with matching high top DOLLY sneakers from Giuseppe Zanotti priced at £431 and topped the outfit off with a diamond tiara by Lorraine Schwartz, according to The Cut.

Of course, mum did not disappoint in a feathered Francesco Scognamiglio couture tight gown and more than £15 million worth of Lorraine Schwartz jewellery, including earrings and multiple diamond rings.
Like mother, like daughter.
