The best headbands to channel your inner Duchess of Cambridge

From Blair Waldorf to the Duchess of Cambridge, statement headbands have forever been a sartorial choice among royalty.

Kate Middleton especially has been one of the most popular style icons of our generation who has been experimenting with hair accessories since her rise to fame. From perchers, hats and pillbox toppers, she has also been experimenting with what has now become her signature: the hatband - a hybrid between a hat and a headband.

The hatband made its debut at Prince Louis’ christening last summer when Kate paired her ivory Alexander McQueen dress with a cream headband with a white floral and pearl applique by Jane Taylor London.

Kate later beamed in a dark red headband to go with her pale pink gown at the christening of Baby Archie earlier this month.
