You don’t need a passport to escape the everyday mundane, as a plethora of picture-postcard towns and chocolate-box villages sit pretty right here on British soil.

With trees shaking their leaves to the ground and coat weather upon us, autumn is the perfect chance to book a cosy weekend away.
