Is Travel Tuesday real?
For 2024, Black Friday officially takes place on Friday 29th November and Cyber Monday is set for Monday 2nd December. However, many companies start their sales early and extend their best deals until Tuesday 3rd December. While Black Friday and Cyber Monday feature sales from all goods and services, Travel Tuesday is a dedicated day for last chance holiday discounts and cheap flights from the UK's major airports.
Some platforms like Secret Escapes and EasyJet previously attracted travellers to book Black Friday holiday and flight deals ahead of the big event by hosting flash sales, but Travel Tuesday is becoming increasingly popular since its launch in 2017. Starting in the United States with online flight marketplace Hopper, Travel Tuesday has made it over the pond in recent years, and we expect leading booking platforms to adopt the holiday in 2024.

Booking.com
This year, we'll be keeping an eye on Booking.com's Black Friday sale. There are usually discounts on accommodation across the globe, and in previous years that's included 408 options in the UK. Many deals have previously been valid into the following year, giving you complete flexibility to travel now or in the future. Whether it's a charming hotel in Rome, or a beach hotel in Dubai, you could make huge savings on accommodation.
The Black Friday sale has also been known to include discounts on rental cars from participating suppliers.

Trainline
The train ticking booking website has previously taken part in the Black Friday sales with offers such as £15 off a rail journey when you buy a Railcard.
Whether it's for commuting or train holidays, a Railcard could be worth the investment for you or your family. There are multiple Railcards on Trainline's website, including the Senior Railcard, the 16-25 Railcard, the Family & Friends Railcard and more. This means you could explore the likes of Whitstable, Edinburgh, Brighton and other staycation hotspots for less. Secret Escapes is often one of the earliest travel websites to start their sale.

Adventure holiday company G Adventures is running a big 30% off sale which ends on 3rd December. The sale takes you all around the world, with deals on places including Lombok, Vietnam, Thailand, and the beautiful Maldives.
From South America to the Caribbean, there's a whole host of destinations included, plus different holiday types depending on your preference. Whether you fancy an Everest Base Camp Trek or a Dhoni cruise, there's something for everyone.

British Airways usually runs a Black Friday sale, with deals across city breaks and long-haul holidays, and it normally includes a host of Black Friday flight deals.
Previous Black Friday holiday deals from BA included 23kg of baggage and travellers could secure the deals with a deposit of £25 per person. From New York to Lanzarote and Madeira to Los Angeles, there have previously been dozens of destinations in the airline's big Cyber sale. We'll share our favourite BA deals when they go live for Black Friday 2024.
Virgin Experience Days
An excellent one-stop shop for your Christmas gifting needs, Virgin Experience Days has a huge range of experience days available, from spa breaks to cooking courses and adventure days out. The company has already hinted at the deals that will be available for Black Friday 2024 with their website suggesting that customers will be able to snap up discounted spa breaks, afternoon teas, days out, and driving experiences.

Lastminute.com
Over the last few years, Lastminute.com has offered discounts on package holidays (flight + hotel bookings). There is usually a low deposit offered for these holidays too.
The holiday company often also has voucher codes showing on the website for Black Friday allowing customers to snap up some pretty good deals. We're looking forward to seeing what the company offers for 2024, and of course as soon as we know we'll update our lovely readers!
EasyJet
The low-cost airline and package provider usually launches a big Black Friday sale, with discounts on package holidays and flights. Easyjet's Black Friday sale normally includes money off city breaks, winter escapes to icy destinations and summer beach trips you can book far in advance. Whilst EasyJet's Black Friday 2024 deals have yet to be announced, there is currently a payday sale on site if you simply can't wait. Customers can use the code SAVE100 on selected holidays to get £100 off.
