Ariel Winter is being body shamed for losing weight

Ariel Winter is no stranger to body shaming.
But this time, the usually curvy actress is being called out for looking like she lost weight.
The 21-year-old star posted some pictures to her Instagram account on Sunday, stirring up a debate about her body, and even resurfacing discussion about her 2015 breast reduction.
Ariel – who was wearing a chequered jumpsuit – admittedly looked slimmer, but some of her followers are taking issue with it.

“Too skinny now…where’d the curves go?” one person commented.
While another said, “I’m sorry you felt the need to so dramatically change your appearance. I liked you just as you were.”
But when one follower went so far as to say, “She was beautiful before she started chopping up her body,” Ariel decided it was time to respond.
“I appreciate you wanting to help girls love themselves the way they are, but you are also kind of cutting someone (me) down,” Ariel wrote. “I also didn’t get plastic surgery.
“That is also not being supportive of women if you’re just assuming something about the way they look.”
The Modern Family star has been open about her decision to get a breast reduction at the age of 17 after years of struggling with a disproportionate distribution of weight.

However, after people started calling her out on losing her curves, she insisted that she hasn’t gotten plastic surgery.
Luckily, fans of the young star stepped in to defend Winter, and praise her for being so comfortable in her own skin.
“You have always looked amazing! However, you being comfortable and healthy in your own skin is 100% what matters, not what anyone else thinks,” someone assured.
Another simply said, “She is a goddess smoke show! Accept it!”
