Ariana Grande divides fans with bra top worn to brother's wedding
There are just some unwritten – but definitely spoken about – rules when it comes to dressing for a wedding. Unfortunately, it seems that some fans are unhappy that Ariana Grande didn’t quite get the memo for her brother’s wedding in Florida last week.
Don’t wear white to a wedding and don’t wear red to a wedding, are both understood rules that essentially mean ‘don’t upstage the bride’. But what about a bra top?
Ariana Grande wore a custom Vera Wang haute couture ensemble to her brother Frankie Grande's wedding to Hale Leon last week.

The singer opted for a custom black lamé sculpted bra top and skirt with a thigh-high slit worn over a black lamé mini skirt.
But some Twitter users were quick to judge the ‘Thank U, Next’ hitmaker, saying that it was inappropriate to upstage the special couple on their wedding day. “girl doing too much 😭,” one user wrote, “reminder its not ur wedding [sic].”
“Why wear something attention grabbing to someone's wedding?” wrote another, adding that it was “rude, inappropriate, and disrespectful.”
“Did no one tell you it’s the BRIDES DAY,” chimed another, whilst one user added ”I guess she didn't get the memo. You don't upstage the bride.”
‼️Introducing Mr. & Mr. Grande‼️🤵🏼❤️🤵🏻♂️ Yup! We’re MARRIED! Surprise! 🎉😝 Hale and I were married at a small intimate galactic ceremony in my family home in Florida on May the 4th be with you, cause we really are both that nerdy. 🪐✨ pic.twitter.com/CNkUnYFoaH

However, Ariana’s hoard of super fans – aptly called the Arianators – quickly came to her defence, and pointed out that the wedding of her brother to partner Hale Leon was a bride-less wedding, with neither opting to use the word ‘bride’ in their wedding announcements on social media.
Not only that. The couple’s Florida nuptials on May 4 was a themed wedding, and the theme? Star Wars, of course.
The happy couple were wed at Frankie’s family home in Florida, and both grooms wore custom Dolce & Gabbana for the occasion.
“Hale and I were married at a small intimate galactic ceremony in my family home in Florida on May the 4th be with you, cause we really are both that nerdy. 🪐✨” wrote her brother Frankie on Twitter.

So fans coming to her defence pointed out that actually, her bikini-esque ensemble was very fitting, and resembled that of Princess Leia’s outfit when she was imprisoned in Jabba's palace and forced to wear a dancing-girl costume in the 1983 Return of the Jedi.
“Luckily there was no bride at the gay Star Wars wedding,” said one fan, resharing Frankie’s Star Wars-themed pictures from the big day.
“Did ya’ll see the theme? [sic]” added another.
“It was a gay wedding where the theme was stars wars,” wrote one fan in Ariana’s defense. “There was stormtrooper strippers at the wedding. She looks perfect. If Frankie loves it, who are you to say she’s doing too much? [sic]”
Being as close as she is with her family, I can’t imagine that Frankie wasn’t aware of Ariana’s outfit before the big day, and as one fan rightly said, if he loves it, who’s to say she’s doing too much?
