Another royal wedding is on the way in 2019

Don’t put away your best hat just yet, there’s set to be another royal wedding in 2019.

Lady Gabriella Windsor, 37, daughter of Prince and Princess of Michael of Kent, will wed her fiancé Mr Thomas Kingston in late spring, according to Hello! magazine. Buckingham Palace announced the engagement back in September.

The nuptials will take place at the same venue as the marriages of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank – St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle. This will be followed by an afternoon reception at Frogmore House.

A royal source confirmed to the Hello! that the occasion would be “for family and friends, and very different” and would be paid for by the bride’s parents. Lady Gabriella’s father is a paternal first cousin of the Queen.

However unlike the previous two royal weddings, it is understood that there will be no carriage procession or members of the public invited inside the castle on the day.

Guests have not yet been confirmed, but they’re likely to include senior members of the royal family.

Although the spring wedding could clash with the arrival of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s baby.

Who is Lady Gabriella Windsor?

Lady Gabriella Marina Alexandra Ophelia Windsor was born on 23 April 1981 (sharing her birthday with the Duke and Duchess’ baby son Prince Louis) at St Mary’s Hospital in London. Known as ‘Ella’ to friends and family, she is currently 51st in line to the throne.

The 37-year-old has an older brother Lord Frederick, 39, who is married to actress Sophie Winkleman – the sister of TV presenter Claudia.

Lady Gabriella is a Senior Director for Branding Latin America, a brand positioning platform that specialises in the region, based in Knightsbridge. She is also a writer and contributes to The London Magazine amongst others.

Mr Kingston works in frontier market investment & is a Director of Devonport Capital.

The couple have been dating for around three years. Mr Kingston is friends with the Duchess of Cambridge’s sister Pippa Middleton and he and Lady Gabriella attended her and James Matthews’ wedding last May.
