Amazon has revealed updated versions of its award-winning (and highly rated) Fire tablets.
The new Fire 8 range, which has three new models: Fire 8, Fire 8 Plus and Fire 8 Kids Edition, comes with a whole host of new features including larger memory and longer battery life.
The Android-powered device is designed to make the most of Amazon content. From shopping with your Prime membership, to access to thousands of movies and TV shows on Prime Video and reading eBooks purchased through Kindle.
Designed for portable entertainment, you can also enjoy all your favourite apps on the tablet like BBC iPlayer, Netflix, Disney+, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
You can also stream workouts, make video calls on apps like Skype and Zoom and play a range of games - making it an ideal new addition to any household at the moment.
The new devices have been created with the entire family in mind - and with prices ranging from £89.99 to £139.99 - the tablet is still a much more affordable choice than Apple’s iPad, the latest edition of which will set you back £969.
The new generation of tablets have faster performance, 32GB of internal storage and up to 12 hours of battery life.

Being the most affordable model at £89.99, the device has all your usual tablet functions, which you can carry out on a 8” HD display.
It also comes with Alexa functions and 2 MP front- and rear-facing cameras with 720p HD video recording.

If you want a more enhanced experience, the Fire HD Plus comes with 3GB of RAM, hassle-free wireless charging and memory that is expandable by up to 1 TB.
