Amanda Holden is fast becoming the nation’s fashion darling with her army of Instagram followers tracking the television presenter’s every sartorial move.

But that doesn’t mean she always strikes the right chord, as one of her latest (seriously sheer) ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ ensembles sparked widespread controversy.

The small screen star kick-started the fashionable proceedings this year as she meant to go on in a zesty shirt dress by French designer Alexis Mabille.

To finish the red carpet ensemble, she chose a pair of wrap-around Christian Louboutin heels with minimal jewellery by Sif Jakobs.

Braving the northern chill in Manchester for the next round of auditions, Holden stole the spotlight in a fiery red dress by Alex Perry.

The mother-of-two accessorised the caped one-shouldered number with a pair of clashing Gianvito Rossi shoes.

This time, the judge kept her hair loose and wavy with chic hoops by David M Robinson - the perfect finish.

Holden takes the first live episode incredibly seriously when it comes to her wardrobe. In need of evidence?

The presenter chose a sheer asymmetric gown by Ziad Nakad which boasted a glorious sweeping train (and just look at those sleeves).

Allowing the dress to do the talking and rightfully so, she paired the ensemble with Guiseppe Zanotti strappy shoes and jewellery by James Ganh and Sarah Ho.

Further demonstrating her fashion know-how, Holden stepped out in a bespoke Jennifer Clair silk gown in regal purple - a chic take on the ultra high thigh-split trend.

A pair of shoes by go-to label Gianvito Rossi finished the ensemble alongside matchy-matchy earrings by Asprey London.

Extra points for the perfectly co-ordinated nails too.

The most talked about look of the season

Not one to shy away from the headlines, the television star was not ‘holden back’ (sorry) when it came to one of her most recent looks.

Once again proving she’s not afraid to push the sartorial boundaries, the former actress took a judge’s seat in a Nicolas Jebran ensemble.

The dress featured a spiderweb design across the chest complete with sheer panelling that exposed parts of her chest and bottom.

Overnight, OfCom received nine complaints overnight regarding the look, the official broadcasting regulatory authority confirmed to Yahoo UK.

Further cementing her status as one of the nation’s most treasured fashion muses, the television fixture chose a couture number for day four of the live semi-finals.

Holden posed for a series of photographs in a low-cut sweeping design emblazoned with dainty flowers.

Martin Katz jewellery gave the ensemble a sparkly touch alongside a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes - hidden by the sweeping skirt.

Another night, another dress

For the final night of the semi-finals, the television presenter looked to designer for the stars Julien MacDonald.

Known for his party ensembles, she chose a power shoulder look in silver zebra print - just look at those tassles.

Barely-there Lucy Choi London heels and Stephen Webster jewellery added extra pizzaz.

For the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ final, Holden made sure to pull out all the style stops in a spotlight-stealing J'Aton Couture gown.

With a heavily embellished floral finish, sheer bodice and serious thigh high-split, her final number didn’t leave a SS19 trend unturned.

The television judge’s go-to strappy Gianvito Rossi shoes and Asprey London jewellery completed the look.
