At 52, Catherine Zeta-Jones Has A Core Of Steel As She Does An Impressive Hollow Hold
Catherine Zeta-Jones is prioritising her health in 2022. And she's certainly having fun doing it. In a new Instagram post, the 52-year-old actress shared a video of herself crushing a yoga session while listening to some jazzy burlesque music. She was holding an impressive hollow hold while using yoga blocks to support her head and her lower back.
'Question… does anyone else listen to burlesque music on the yoga mat?' she captioned the video.
Of course, people were all over the clip: 'She is living her best life! 😍😍😍😍 #goals,' wrote a follower. 'Fitness goals 💕💕💕💕,' said another. 'Great form 😍,' observed a dedicated fan.
So what exactly are Catherine's fitness secrets? For starters, she's majorly into all things fitness and is a devoted yogi—as evidenced by this video from last summer.
She also loves to stay active in many different ways—and swimming is one of them. (ICYMI: A few days ago, she posted a video of herself taking a dip in a pool and getting in some swim time.) 'If I become a little lethargic or lax in the physical part of my life, I get stressed,' she told the Telegraph. 'So I swim. I have one of those pools where I can swim against the tide.'
Earlier this month, she shared a clip of herself taking a sunny, snowy walk outside to get in some cardio.
And she's also big on getting her sweat on with a weighted hula hoop! Check out her skills:
Ultimately, her impressive strength can be attributed to her discipline and consistency. Per The Telegraph, the movie star exercises every single day and likes to mix things up—so depending on the day, her workout could be a hula-hooping sweat sesh, yoga, or cardio by way of the treadmill.
'I have a ballet barre in my gym. I turn the music up so loud that the walls are pulsating, and I go for it for an hour,' she said.
But that's not all: She also told W Magazine that her workouts often involve 'swimming, tennis, Peloton, my home gym, and tap dancing.'
As for her diet, Catherine shared what she eats in a day with Harper’s Bazaar. She starts her day with coffee, porridge, yoghurt, granola, and berries. She has a salad for lunch that is a mix of spinach, rocket, pine nuts, 'big, ripe' tomatoes, blue cheese, dried cranberries—with a dressing of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and mustard.
For a mid-afternoon snack, she has a scone and coffee. And dinner usually starts with a salad of apple, avocado, oranges, and figs—followed by fish or another white meat. And she occasionally loves 'just a regular filet mignon' paired with homemade mushroom sauce and a bunch of fresh sautéed veggies.
Of course, Catherine loves to treat herself too—especially on Sundays. She told The Telegraph that she has a 'very healthy appetite. I eat like a horse—my mother still brings me Cadbury’s chocolate from Britain.'
We love it, Catherine!
