How 2017 was the year 49-year-old Celine Dion became a raving sartorial success
Celine Dion may have an incredible vocal range and the ability to turn fans to tears, but she’s never been particularly known for her sartorial prowess. Until 2017.
The singer, who lost her husband Rene Angélil to throat cancer in 2016, made a triumphant return to the spotlight this year in a plethora of show-stopping ensembles.
Whether she was en route to a Haute Couture Fashion Week show or taking to the red carpet at the GRAMMY Awards, Celine topped numerous best dressed lists in 2017 thanks to her bold fashion looks.
It’s not just Celine that deserves recognition for her stream of successful style choices; stylist-to-the-stars Law Roach is the man who ensured the performer was armed and ready for her year following her husband’s tragic passing.
The self-proclaimed ‘image maker’, who started out owning a vintage store, hasn’t just transformed Celine. He also styles Zendaya – another of Celebville’s most fashion-forward residents. He’s also styled Ariana Grande and Jessie J, among others.
“I love my girls,” Roach told Fashionista. “I am at a place right now where I really love my roster. They are all so different, but at the same time they are all kind of the same.”
It was Roach’s six-year-long collaboration with Zendaya that caused Celine to reach out initially, and the reason she’s recently made the rounds wearing the likes of Vetements, Balenciaga, Saint Laurent, and Off-White in 2017.
