Chris Hemsworth's hammer-wielding god is back in Marvel sequel Thor: Love and Thunder.
The film is the fourth solo Thor movie following 2017's box-office hit Thor: Ragnarok, and it will arrive in IMAX and UK cinemas from 7 July. Love and Thunder includes an all-star cast and will once again be directed by two-time Academy Award winner, Taika Waititi.

When will Thor: Love and Thunder be released?
Thor: Love and Thunder will be released on 7 July, and will be later available to stream on Disney+. It is the latest film in Phase Four of the MCU, and the first since Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Like a lot of Marvel releases, it has experienced several delays due to the COVID pandemic, having originally been due for release in November 2021.
Is there a trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder?
The teaser trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder was released on 18 April, giving fans their first look at the upcoming movie.
It shows Hemsworth's superhero apparently going on a journey of self-discovery, and it racked up 209 million views in just 24 hours. Watch it below.
Further trailers have followed including this one below which revealed more of Natalie Portman's Jane Foster, who returns to the franchise after nine years.
Who is in the Thor: Love and Thunder cast?
The cast for Thor: Love and Thunder sees an assortment of the very best that Hollywood has to offer with Chris Hemsworth once again returning to play thew mighty Thor.
Hemsworth is now one of the last standing members of the original cast of the Avengers, with Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, and Scarlett Johansson officially out of the MCU.
Star of the boxing franchise Creed, Tessa Thompson returns as Valkyrie. Valkyrie belongs to a group that are regarded as the strongest warriors of Asgard.
Oscar winner and ex-Batman actor Christian Bale has been cast as the menacing brute Gorr The God Butcher with Russell Crowe playing the role of the sky and thunder god Zeus.
Black Swan star Natalie Portman returns as Jane Foster, but in a new role as Mighty Thor. Portman last appeared in 2013's Thor: The Dark World, and was a noticeable absence in Thor: Ragnarok.
Regarding her absence Portman told ET: "Obviously, I wasn't written into [Thor: Ragnarok] because of where it took place. It wasn't really on Earth, and my character is on Earth." She returned to the franchise after speaking to Waititi about the new role.
The film also includes the Guardians of the Galaxy crew. Chris Pratt returns as Peter Quill/Star-Lord, Dave Bautista as Drax, Vin Diesel as Groot and Bradley Cooper as Rocket.
Matt Damon will also make a brief cameo reprising the role as Actor Loki which he did in Thor: Ragnarok. Sam Neill has also teased his return in the fourquel.
What happens in Thor: Love and Thunder?
Here's the official synopsis for Thor: Love and Thunder: "The film finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he's ever faced – a quest for inner peace.
"But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor's surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor.
"Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it's too late."
