Superman past and present Brandon Routh and Tyler Hoechlin pose on 'Crisis On Infinite Earths' set
The CW’s next Arrowverse crossover is going to be one for the ages.
The “Crisis on Infinite Earths” storyline will see three different Supermen come into play and two line-up for a set photo.
Current Superman Tyler Hoechlin, who appears in Supergirl, stands next to Brandon Routh’s Man of Steel, inspired by the Elseworlds comic run of “Kingdom Come.”
Routh famously played Clark Kent in the movie Superman Returns but is still rounding out his time as The CW’s Legends of Tomorrow as Ray Palmer (AKA The Atom) who first appeared in Arrow.
The two will also be joined by Tom Welling’s Smallville iteration of the superhero as he has been confirmed to guest-star in the crossover event too which includes all six Arrowverse shows: Arrow, Supergirl, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Black Lightning, and Batwoman.

Welling has already filmed scenes with Hoechlin’s Superman, as evidenced in a set photo that was posted by Elizabeth Tullock, who played Lois Lane in the “Elseworld” crossover.
She won’t be the only Lois though as Erica Durance will reprise her Smallville role alongside Welling too.

Michael Rosenbaum, who played Lex Luthor, said he had turned down the opportunity to return when Warner Bros. offered.
"Friends, many of you have tweeted and asked me about joining the Infinite Crossover," Rosenbaum wrote. "I can't tell you how much this means to me. I'll just be straight up about this. WB called my agents Friday afternoon when I was in Florida visiting my grandfather in a nursing home.

“Their offer: No Script. No idea what I'm doing. No idea when I'm shooting. Basically no money. And the real kick in the ass 'We have to know now.' My simple answer was 'Pass.' I think you can understand why. I hope this answers all of your questions. Lovingly Rosenbaum."
Clearly Warner Bros reached out to a lot of past DC players as this five-day event will also welcome back Ashley Scott’s Huntress.
