The mockery of Will Smith's genie in Disney's live-action 'Aladdin' is very real
First fans complained that in the first look at Will Smith’s Genie from Guy Ritchie’s live-action remake of Aladdin, he wasn’t blue.
Now, in the second look at Guy Ritchie’s live-action remake of Aladdin, Will Smith’s Genie IS blue.
Everyone happy now? Not so much.
Smith is now getting the absolute ribbing of his professional career over the new trailer for the Disney movie, which gives us a brief look at just how blue he is going to be in the film.
Very blue, is the answer. And people are finding it to be a combination of hilarious and frightening.
Remember when Will Smith begged everyone to wait until we saw the blue CGI version of the genie before we judged? Yikes. pic.twitter.com/uP3fVUrELr

Fans of US sitcom Arrested Development, in which character Tobias Funke persistently fails to join the Blue Man Group, found particular joy in the clip too.

The new trailer has showed of a tiny bit more of Ritchie’s vision, but judging by the general consensus, the Lock Stock director has a fair way to go before many are convinced.
Starring Mena Massoud, Naomi Scott and Marwan Kenzari, it’s due out on May 24.
