Miley Cyrus says a 'penis cake' got her fired from 'Hotel Transylvania' voice role
Miley Cyrus has never been afraid of controversy, but it seems like it may have lost her a potentially lucrative big screen gig.
The singer tweeted on Thursday that she was sacked from the animated Hotel Transylvania franchise after she was pictured online with a penis-shaped birthday cake.
Cyrus could be seen licking the cake, which she purchased for her then-boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, in pictures released by TMZ.

The former Hannah Montana star was hired in November 2011 to record the voice of Mavis - the daughter of Adam Sandler’s Dracula and one of the main characters in the franchise.
After the photos surfaced, however, Cyrus was replaced with fellow pop star Selena Gomez.
The 26-year-old made the admission as part of a Twitter thread discussing media reports of her recent split from Hemsworth.

Three films have been released in the Hotel Transylvania franchise to date, with a fourth film already announced for 2021.
The franchise has proved lucrative for Sony, raking in more than $1.3bn (£1.06bn) at the global box office.
A role in the Hotel Transylvania films would certainly have been Cyrus’ biggest movie part to date, following up on her voice work in Disney animation Bolt.
Her acting work has since played second fiddle to her musical career, though she did appear in an episode of Black Mirror’s fifth season and had an uncredited cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
