If you have just recovered from the emotional rollercoaster that was Avengers: Endgame, prepare to be blasted with another photon laser, as Square Enix and Marvel Games just confirmed an Avengers game is on the way soon.

Almost two years after we first heard that Square Enix was collaborating with the comic book studio, gamers and Avengers fans alike can now assemble and join hands in what we all hope will be up there with the greatest games ever made.

We finally got to see more details at E3 2019, including an extended trailer with gameplay included, a release date and a few more details?

Read below to find out all the things we know about Marvel's Avengers game.

Gamers around the world were sent into a spiralling meltdown over what we will be getting.

Remember we have had very few successful superhero games before this point, and 2018's Spider-Man on PS4 was the first real attempt to bring quality storytelling and gameplay to our favourite comic heroes.

Two excruciating years later, we are finally told more. And now we have some more details.

While we might not be playing as some of the most popular Marvel heroes, from Captain America and Thor, to Hulk, Black Widow, Ant-Man and Iron Man (confirmed), we will be creating our own heroes.

After a catastrophic event causes the Avengers to go into hiding, us, the player, must fill in the gaps and become a mighty Avenger.

You will have to create your own character, customise their looks and abilities, and restore the world's faith in their mightiest heroes.

What we do know, is that there will be no lootboxes or pay-to-win situations, so we are hoping that we can take our Avengers online to battle other players - Hulk vs Hulk anyone?

We also know that Avengers will be a 'games as a service' platform similar to Destiny, where Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics will constantly update the game with new heroes, maps, events and updates.

Content will apparently keep on hitting the game for many, many years, and rumours are that this is just the first of many games Marvel and Square Enix will be releasing.

It also has an all-star cast of video-game acting talent, including Troy Baker as Hulk, Nolan North as Iron-Man, Laura Bailey as Black Widow.

Marvel's Avengers will also NOT be connected to the MCU, which is evident seeing that the characters look and sound completely different.

There are hints and rumours that it could be connected to Marvel's Spider-Man for PS4 - after all, we are yet to see Spidey from the trailers, so who knows.

Marvel's Avengers trailer - What does it look like?

From the trailer, this game looks INSANE. We are *SO* pumped to get our hands on this - as we take on the mantle of our favourite hero.

During the E3 announcement, we discovered we will be teaming up with three other players, picking our favourite heroes to battle through an online campaign.

We don't really know how that gameplay shakes out, though. It looks like each hero with have specific tasks they will have to complete to get through the mission, like Hulk smashing through tanks, or Iron Man taking out drones and planes.

We imagine this will culminate in an Anthem-esque co-op adventure where you have to combo abilities to get through levels.

The trailer looks insane though, and is everything we could have hoped for in an Avengers game.

Marvel's Avengers release date - When can we play it?

The good news is that you will be able to play Avengers *VERY* soon, though Square Enix did just confirm they are pushing back the release date from May 15 all the way back to September 10.

This is a large delay from the Japanese company, but it can only be a good thing, so stay patient, gamers. We'd much rather they spend another few months polishing off the game and making it the best game it can possibly be - and we think we can *just* about manage to wait another couple of months to get our hands on it.

Avengers will launch on Xbox One, PS4, Google Stadia and PC on September 10, 2020.

Exclusive content will be coming to PlayStation players early, including early beta access and unique benefits, though we don't know what they are yet.
