Yahoo Movies John Travolta mistakes drag artist for Taylor Swift at VMAs
Not one to leave an award ceremony without an embarrassing bungle of some kind, John Travolta treated fans to another peach at last night's MTV Video Music Awards.
The Pulp Fiction star found himself on stage with Queen Latifah to present the prestigious Video of the Year gong.

On revealing the award was heading to Taylor Swift for her clip for LGBT anthem You Need To Calm Down, the stage soon filled with many of the drag stars who appear in the video.
Among them was Swift impersonator Jade Jolie, star of RuPaul's Drag Race, who Travolta was about to hand the award statue to, before performing a pretty spectacular double take.

While it's vaguely possible that Travolta was joking, he does has 'previous'.
The 65-year-old actor even foreshadowed making a royal mess of things in his preceding remarks on stage.
Referring to the time he bafflingly mangled Frozen star Idina Menzel's name into 'Adele Dazeem' at the Oscars in 2014, he told the audience as he held the envelope: “I shouldn't do this.
“I'll just mispronounce s**t and f**k it up.”

Accepting the award, Swift noted that a petition to support the Equality Act, which would ensure legally enshrined equal rights for the LGBT community in the US, now has more than five times the number of signatures required for a response from the White House.
