Gemma Chan and Kit Harington joins The Eternals, Tom Holland breaks silence on Marvel at D23 Expo
Tom Holland has broken his silence following Marvel Studio's Spider-Man "split."
While promoting his Disney movie Onward at D23 Expo 2019 with Chris Pratt, the British actor said before leaving the stage, "It's been a crazy week, I want you to know that I'm grateful from the bottom of my heart, and I love you 3000," a reference to Avengers: Endgame.
Reports suggest Sony and Marvel's agreement to use Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe cannot be renewed as neither studios can come to a financial agreement.
Holland’s comment came after Disney confirmed a Spider-Man animated film for children would stream on Disney+ when it launches in the US n November 12.

Kevin Feige kept quiet onstage about Spider-Man as introduced three new additions to The Eternals cast.
Kit Harington will play non-Eternal Dane Whitman in the new film with Captain Marvel’s Gemma Chan joining as the Eternal Sersei.
Barry Keoghan, of The Killing of a Sacred Deer fame, joined the previously announced cast at D23 Expo to confirm his role as a new Eternal called Druig.
Richard Madden (Ikaris), Kumail Nanjiani (Kingo), Angelina Jolie (Thena), Salma Hayek (Ajak), Lauren Ridloff (Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry (Phastos), Lia McHugh (Sprite) and Don Lee (Gilgamesh) were all in attendance to reveal their costumes for the Marvel movie about gods fighting gods, directed by Chloe Zhao.
The Eternals is released on November 6, 2020.
Jolie was also there to promote Maleficent 2: Mistress of Evil, released on October 18, 2019.

Speaking of her decision to return, she said: “I missed her. In this [film] we return and we see that Aurora is older and they're facing in the world challenges and it is being emphasised to them how different they are.
“They are encouraged to not be a family and pulled apart by their differences and so we really pose the question and fight for the belief that what is different makes you stronger.
“What defines family is what you believe in,” she continued, “and how you love, and what you stand for. It's not just blood and it's not because you're the same. So I love this movie very much."
The dark Fae is going to play a big role in Maleficent 2, if the footage shown is anything to go by, with Ed Skrein and Chiwetel Ejiofor on villainous form.

A fantastic dinner scene showed how cutting Michelle Pfeiffer's Queen would be as she faced off against Jolie's Maleficent.
Ryan Coogler also stopped by to confirm that that Black Panther 2 would be released on May 6, 2022 while more footage was shown of Black Widow.

Family is the focus of Scarlett Johansson’s solo movie set in Budapest right after Iron Man tells Black Widow to run in Civil War. A brilliant Bourne Identity-style fight sequence between Natasha and her “sis” Yelena (Florence Pugh) shows the standard for action is high on this movie.
Walt Disney Animation Studio also revealed footage of Raya and The Last Dragon, which stars Cassie Steele as Raya and Awkwafina as the last dragon Sisu.

The animation is a combination of Disney and “badass” Hong Kong action movies, says writer Adele Lim (Crazy Rich Asians. It takes place in Kumandra, a fictional Earth, made up of five lands where Raya is trying to find the last dragon and save the region from dark forces.
Raya and the Last Dragon opens on November 25, 2020.
Pixar also revealed the first trailer for Soul, which asks the metaphysical questions about why we are here.

Soul is about the training your souls goes through before you are born and follows Joe Gardner (Jamie Foxx), a middle-school band teacher who falls down a man-hole just when he was about to get his big jazz break and his soul ends up back at the You Seminar where all souls begin.
The movie is about him getting back to earth so he can realise his purpose and features a supporting voice cast made up of Questlove, Phylicia Rashad, Daveed Diggs, and Tina Fey with music by Jon Batiste, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.
Fey plays 22, a soul-in-training who has an unexpected encounter with Joe when he accidentally finds his way to the You Seminar.
Soul is released on June 19, 2020.
